Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Rice Purity Test?
The Rice Purity Test is a 100-question checklist quiz that originated as a college bonding survey. Each question asks whether you have had a particular life experience; your score starts at 100 and drops by one for every box you check, giving a lighthearted measure of how much you have experienced so far.
How is the purity score calculated?
It is simple: your score equals 100 minus the number of boxes you checked. Check 13 boxes and your score is 87. A score of 100 means you checked nothing, while a score near 0 means you have done just about everything on the list.
Is the Rice Purity Test scientific or accurate?
Not at all — it is purely for fun. The questions were written for entertainment, not psychology, so treat your score and band as a conversation starter rather than any real measure of character.
Is my test private? Do you store my answers?
Yes, it is completely private. The quiz runs 100% in your browser with no accounts, no cookies and no servers — your checked boxes and your score never leave your device.
