Invoice Data Extractor
Extract data from invoices to Excel-ready rows in seconds. Upload one or more invoice PDFs and this free invoice parser auto-detects the vendor, invoice number, date, line items and total, and lays them out in an editable table. Fix anything that looks off, then download a clean CSV that opens in Excel or Google Sheets. No sign-up, no watermark — your files never leave your device.
Tip: click any cell to edit it before downloading. Works best with text-based PDFs downloaded from your vendor (not scans or photos).
What Data Gets Extracted?
- Vendor — the seller name, taken from the top of the invoice.
- Invoice number — matched from "Invoice #", "Invoice No." or similar labels.
- Date — the invoice date.
- Line items — description, quantity, unit price and amount where the layout shows them.
- Subtotal, tax and total — matched from the totals block at the bottom of the invoice.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I extract data from an invoice to Excel?
Upload the invoice PDF above. The extractor reads the text, pulls out the vendor, invoice number, date, line items and totals into a table, and you download it as a CSV — which Excel and Google Sheets open natively. If you need a true .xlsx file, open the CSV in Excel and use "Save As".
Can I extract data from multiple invoices at once?
Yes — select several PDFs at once. Each invoice becomes its own block in the results, and the CSV download includes all of them, one row per line item, with the invoice number on every row so you can filter in Excel.
What if the parser gets a field wrong?
Click the cell and fix it — every cell in the results table is editable. Invoice layouts differ wildly between vendors, so a quick review pass is part of the workflow. The tool is a best-effort heuristic, not OCR.
Does it work on scanned invoices?
No — this tool reads the text layer inside a PDF. A scanned image or a photo of an invoice has no text layer, so nothing can be extracted. Use the original PDF your vendor emailed you, not a scan.
Is my invoice data private?
Yes. Everything runs 100% in your browser. Your PDFs are never uploaded to any server — you can verify this by turning off your Wi-Fi after the page loads and watching the tool still work.

Best-effort parser — verify before filing. Invoice layouts vary between vendors; always review the extracted fields against the original PDF before using them for bookkeeping or tax purposes.
